Architects, interior designers and contract furnishers will find plenty of inspiration at imm cologne 2016. Specialists in the contract business will be displaying the newest approaches, forms and materials. An overview of the new as well as the tried-and-trusted in the furnishing of high-value projects.

The beautifully formed wooden chair Kamuy by Conde House will celebrate its international debut in Hall 11.3. Cologne is also where müller möbelfabrikation will be celebrating their 20-year anniversary with a modern interpretation of the side table: With a futuristic touch, Jan Amgardt designed the two models LO12 and LH12 to be real eye-catchers. In contrast, a rediscovery of the reading chair and recliner is provided by Walter Knoll. The Scandinavian-inspired seat, which is now being relaunched in the Classic edition, emerged 50 years ago from their collaboration with designer Arno Votteler.

New products for the spa and wellness segments will be on display byZACK in Hall 11.1. Alongside their current furniture collection in stainless steel, the design label will for the first time be presenting accessories for the bathroom. Likewise a specialist in hospitality is the furniture manufacturer KFF, which has already furnished numerous restaurants and bars with beautifully formed seating. As the oldest chair and table manufacturer in Switzerland,horgenglarus equally also offer the highest levels of comfort in seating and will be presenting their new products in Hall 03.2. Solid wood will be presented in the same hall by Conmoto in the form of the new SOLID OAK table. Similarly, LEIGHTON from E15 is also a high- value solid wood table – designed by the British star architect, David Chipperfield. Long-established company THONET also stands for the art of reduction and has recently been named one of the “brands of the century”. System 180 will hold the official launch of their new programme of tables at imm cologne 2016. The “Series K” is impressive with its clear-cut design and lightweight construction.

In Hall 02.2, RAL Farben will be presenting their colorimeter COLORCATCH NANO, which is the first measuring device to collect five colours at the same time. “Black is back” however is the motto at lighting equipment manufacturer GERA whose products are for the first time ever available in black-brown anodized aluminium. Textile editeur Nya Nordiska is focused on the theme of functionality with the Core Classics collection and and is now offering twelve new fabrics for use in architecture. Versatile in its use is also the YU shelf system by Konstantin Slawinski. The system is a modular construction kit made up of colourful sheet steel which can be assembled to create an endless number of storage configurations.
