Colours can tell fantastic stories or act in a more matter-of-fact-style. They can express the unique visual identity of a single piece of furniture, of any room or of a whole brand in a captivating and authentic way. The palette of possibilities is huge. Dr. Hildegard Kalthegener presents meaning and background information on subtly selected nuances within the bigger concept of colour families.
Dr. Hildegard Kalthegener lives in the Frankfurt area and works as colour consultant and lecturer. She studied âDesign Strategiesâ (Gestaltungstechnik) at Essen University, and gathered more experiences in a study year within the U.S. Her PhD thesis is about Colour Design be-tween creativity and rational argumentation. She concentrates on workshops, lectures and seminars, on colour trends and on proposals for architectural projects and collections. For industry and retail she develops a captivating mix of courses about colour design, colour perception and colour communication. Since 2000 she also works for NCS Berlin / Stockholm.
