The lecture by architect Wibke Schaeffer and designer and actor Moritz Zielke from the Wiederverwandt studio will consider the subject of lighting from a very global and almost philosophical perspective. Light needs shadows in order to be perceived and needs materials that can absorb or reflect it. And sometimes it takes courage to deploy it properly.

imm61_2016_Vortrag_Lichte-Art_Port_WVMoritz Zielke and Wibke Schaeffer, both born in 1973, founded their Cologne studio Wiederverwandt in 2011. Together, graduate designer Zielke and architect Schaeffer offer spatial and design concepts devised specifically to be sustainable and ecologically sound. From restaurants, shops and eco hotels through open-plan offices to kitchens for private homes, they draw up a complete plan, coordinate all of the specialist trade work and manage the project through to completion.
