Wall: Jan Armgardt’s versatile shelving unit for M├╝ller M├Âbelfabrikation


M├╝ller M├Âbelfabrikation launched no fewer than eight new designer items at the imm cologne in January. They included various products by Jan Armgardt, a designer based at Lake Ammersee in Upper Bavaria. The new items are intended to pick up on the company’s guiding principle of developing products that fit in with existing collections and focus on customers’ wants and needs with refreshing unpretentiousness.

Inner workings: Schulte Design showcases clever new functions at the imm cologne


Schulte Design’s interesting ideas drew plenty of curious visitors to its booth in Pure 11 at the imm cologne 2014. “This year we focused even more strongly on the theme of functions than usual,” explained owner Franz-Josef Schulte, the idea engine behind the creative company. The stand featured tables that stretched lengthways, glided upwards or opened up to reveal secret compartments for private odds and ends.

Walter Knoll was with new and established products in Cologne


At imm cologne 2014 Walter Knoll was exhibiting innovations for the living and the contract market. A special attention has been focused Grand Suite the new sofa range from the Austrian design team EOOS. Large, soft cushions and details in saddle leather are about to make a statement about what is preciously private. Also new and also designed by EOOS: Isanka, designed with particular precision. Upholstered seats, occasional tables and basket made of top-quality saddle leather with striking ÔÇťsignature seamsÔÇŁ. Extensions like to the classic Haussmann 310 supplement the successful ranges.

Kymo at imm 2014: flat, patterned and made of wool ÔÇô new highlights for the floor


In line with its motto ‘Go on. And create.’ Kymo will again be presenting some exciting new products at the imm cologne 2014. At the same time, the label for unconventional floorwear manages to remain true to its minimalist approach without resorting to asceticism. In the meantime, large-scale patterns and a cheery mix of colours have become an integral part of stylishly furnished living spaces, stores and offices. The 2014 collection is therefore being rounded out with designs that tie in with this trend but with a minimalist slant.

Bretz Conficius: Straight weird

With its new sofa Confucius the Rheinland-Pfalz-based (Germany) the upholstered furniture manufacturer Bretz wants so combine extremes. Straight upholstered elements are assembled in inclined angles forming an architectural seating sculpture. By gaps and openings every upholstered element stands in its own light. Only in the elementsÔÇÖ combination the sofa Confucuis arises.

Following the good performance of the imm cologne 2013, the international furniture and interior design fair is creating space for its continued qualitative and quantitative development. The Pure segment plays a key role in this. With Pure Elegance, the new format for the luxurious high-end sector, and the stronger focus on young creative design in Hall 1, the trade fair is consistently continuing on its way towards an interiors show.
